​Step Teachers are working with a secondary school in Tower Hamlets to source a Head of Religious Education. This is a maternity cover position available from the 25thof November 2022 until the 24th of November 2023.

This is a “Good” Ofsted-rated school where pupils are safe and happy. They welcome the personal and academic support that teachers provide. Pupils respond well to teachers’ high expectations. They achieve well and many go on to attend top universities. Pupils appreciate the consideration given to their mental health.

The Role:

• A – Level teaching experience desirable

• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

• Ability to assess and report on your students when required

• Able to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively 

Requirements:

• Hold a PGCE/B.Ed. with QTS

• Will have experience teaching RE from KS3-KS5

• Will ideally will be coming from or has previous experience as a Head of RE

• Have a proven ability to lead a team and grow the development within the team
