​​Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Radlett. The school are looking for someone who can start immediately for a long-term position in a Year 1 class. The role is initially until the Easter break, but the school are prepared to extend the contract for the right person.

This one form entry primary school strongly believes in the success of every individual in the school through strong relationships between the school staff, and the students and their families. At their most recent inspection, the school continues to be rated ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED and are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them in sustaining a supportive learning environment.

Role:

  • Support a student on a 1:1 basis and effectively adapt to their needs

  • Able to support the students in the class under the direction of the class teacher

  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school

  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

  • Ability to support students and encourage their progression

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working in a primary school or with school aged children

  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable

  • SEND experience is desirable
