Step Teachers are seeking a qualified teacher to work as an NTP Tutor in local schools, working with children in KS1/KS2 for Liskeard and the surrounding areas.
The pupils have been specially selected to be part of the programme to help them catch up to their peers and re-build their confidence. Therefore, they must have the same tutor for the entire duration of the assignment.
The rate of pay will be £23-30 per hour.
Being an NTP tutor is convenient for qualified teachers who are looking to get back into work after periods of time away from teaching and want part-time, flexible hours to fit current commitments.
To be an NTP Tutor you will need to have one of the following
Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent
A degree in either Maths, English
The right candidate must...
Have strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and experience in tutoring or teaching in a classroom
Be flexible with the hours they can work and willing to commit to long-term
Be Confident in behavioural management skills.
Be able to think on their feet and use different scaffolding strategies to teach the pupils
Have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

Step Teachers are looking for Secondary Teachers for Bodmin and surrounding areas to source a Art Teacher for the September start. Whether you are available to work 1 or 5 days a week, we are able to fit your needs and suitability.
With the high demand for teachers within the education sector, many applicants are needed.
The role:
Strong curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4
Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom and sports area’s with accessible resources where needed
Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable
Ability to assess and report on your students when required
Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
Requirements:
Hold QTS or the equivalent of
ECTs accepted
Relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
