The government has announced an investment of £84m to help support those looking to gain a qualification in computer science.   This is a DfE funded programme through the National Centre for Computing Education that is now available to everyone for free!     You can complete the programme within your own time as the programme is remotely delivered, and the test becomes available after two courses have been attended. You will need to hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or currently completing a teacher training program to qualify. Teachers who pass will be certified with the BCS ‘Teach GCSE Computer Science’ certificate.  This qualifies you to teach computer science up to GCSE level and increase your work opportunities.    Already teaching computer science but not your specialism?
