​Step Teachers are working with an outstanding secondary school in Islington to source a General Science Teacher to join their team from January 2023, however, the school would like the teacher to start in December 2022. This is a long-term role.

This is an “Outstanding” Ofsted-rated school where students feel very safe in school and have an exceptionally well-developed sense of right and wrong. They enjoy learning and this has a strong impact on the progress they make in their learning over time.

The role:

• Strong General Science curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4

• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

• Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable 

• Ability to assess and report on your students when required 

• Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons 

• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and them implement effectively  

Requirements: 

• Hold QTS or the equivalent of 

• Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching General Science 

• The relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
