​Step Teachers are working with a secondary school based in Breckland to source a History Teacher to join their team after the October half term. This role is available until the end of the term on a full-time basis. The school is willing to consider an experienced teacher as well as an ETC, and for the right candidate, this could be extended beyond the first term.

 The school is a “Good” Ofsted-rated school that has a determined principal who wants every student to have the best life chances. Teaching in the school is effective and pupils make good progress. There is a sixth form on site which is also good. Pupils in the school have a good learning experience which is tailored to their specific needs.

Role:

• Strong curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4

• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

• Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable

• Ability to assess and report on your students when required

• Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or the equivalent of

• Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching

• A relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
