​Step Teachers are working on behalf of a secondary school in Suffolk that is seeking an outstanding Maths Teacher to join their successful department. This role will commence in January 2023 and will be available on a full-time basis, until Easter. The school will willing to consider extending this post to the right candidate.

The school is an “Outstanding” Ofsted-rated school whose students’ attainment in a range of subjects is often well above the national average. The headteacher has established an ethos of high expectations and leadership within maths and English, which is outstanding. Students’ behaviour in and out of lessons is excellent and they develop outstanding attitudes to learning and have respect for each other and the school.

The role will require:

• Have strong curriculum knowledge from KS3 through to KS5

• Have the ability to plan engaging, inspirational lessons across all abilities

• Have the adaptability and suitability to fit in with a well-established team.

• Set high standards and expectations for the achievements of all pupils.

• An undergraduate degree in Maths is desirable

• Have recent experience teaching Maths
