​Step Teachers are looking for a Religious Education Teacher for a secondary school in Peterborough. In the first instance, the role of the Religious Education Teacher will be a long-term post commencing in January 2022, but for the right candidate, this could be offered on a permanent basis. You will need to be able to offer Religious Education to GCSE and A-Level.

The school and school leaders ensure that the pupils receive high-quality career advice and guidance, Teaching in areas are strong such as MFL and humanities. The school promote the pupil’s physical and mental well-being and pupils speak highly of this provision. 

The Role

• Strong curriculum knowledge at KS3

• Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable 

• Ability to assess and report on your students when required 

• Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons 

• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively  

Requirements

• Hold QTS or the equivalent of

• Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Religious Education

• A relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
