Step Teachers are looking for an experienced Design Technology Teacher to join a secondary school based in the southwest of Norwich. The role is due to commence after the October half term and is available until December, however, this is could be extended depending on the performance and discretion of the school.

This school is a “Good” Ofsted-rated school whose principal and trust have a shared vision for the school, and it’s based upon high aspirations for its pupils. The pupil’s attainment is well above average and has an outstanding sixth form. Behaviour in and out of lessons is good where pupils are polite, courteous, and respectful.

Role:

  • Strong DT curriculum knowledge including food, textiles and graphic products across KS3 & 4

  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable

  • Ability to assess and report on your students when required

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Design Technology

  • A relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
