Step Teachers has been asked by a local authority school in North London to find them a Social Sciences Teacher to work on a full-time basis from September 2021. This opportunity is a permanent post for a Social Science specialist teaching  Sociology and Psychology up to GCSE however A Level teaching is available depending on experience.    The ideal candidate will meet the following: A trained Social Sciences teacher holding QTS or QTLS. Both NQTs and experienced teachers will be considered for the role. A confident practitioner who is confident in planning and delivering the curriculum in their specialism from KS3 and KS4, using assessment for learning to inform this and ensure steady progression for all students. Your behaviour management strategies will be effective and ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all. As a qualified Social Sciences teacher, you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven ability to understand and utilise current theory and practice in relation to learning and development. Experience teaching Health and Social Care would be advantageous  The school is a “Good” School in the London Borough of Barnet, well served by public transport as well as being located conveniently close to the North Circular.
