​Step Teachers are looking for graduates or cover supervisors to work with schools in the Great Yarmouth District. The schools we support are across East Anglia as well, and the role will be offered on a supply basis, however, this could lead to a long-term placement.

Step Teachers have long-standing working relationships with academies and schools who require cover supervisors for flexibly supply cover. We are looking to add to our team of supply cover supervisors immediately with daily and long-term supply roles being available.

Role:

  • Cover lessons in the absence of the timetabled teacher

  • Ensure the class are on target with the pre-set work

  • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed

  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements

  • Degree level or higher

​​​​​​​Step Teachers are looking for Secondary SEND Teaching Assistants for a unique school within Plymouth. The position will be full time up till Christmas time and could possibly lead to a permanent placement for the right candidates. Multiple applicants will be chosen.

The role:

  • Able to drive to varies locations

  • Proven experience in dealing with challenging behaviour

  • The ability to manage various tasks required by the class teacher

  • Experience supporting pupils on a 1 to 1 basis

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

  • The ability to motivate pupils to learn

  • Have patience with children who find conforming to rules and expectations difficult

Step Teachers are working with a school based in Lowestoft to source a Geography Teacher to start in October 2022. This post is a part-time role and will require this exceptional teacher to cover Geography and Environmental Science. The role is available until December 2022, however for the right candidate and at the discretion of the school, this may get extended.

The Role

  • Strong Geography curriculum knowledge

  • Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable 

  • Ability to assess and report on your students when required

  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Geography

  • A relevant subject-specific degree is desirable

Working Hours

  • Monday-Wednesday - 14 hours per week
